For new learners with no experience - we recommend between 7 to 10 hours of driving lessons with a driving instructor. For less confident learners or learners who are unable to practice in a suitable car with a family member or friend, it's not unusual to book up to 20 hours of instruction.
For learners who hold an automatic licence and wish to learn on a manual vehicle - we recommend between 3 to 5 hours of driving instruction in a manual vehicle.

Yes absolutely! In Qld, for every 1 hour of driving instruction = 3 hours in your learner logbook, up to a maximum of 10 hours of lessons (30 hours recorded in the logbook). For additional driving instruction hours, 1 hour = 1 hour in your logbook.

Yes, upon request. In Qld, a minimum of 10 hours of driving experience must be classified as night driving. If you book a lesson at night with a driving instructor, it can either be counted as triple time OR night hours, but not both. For example, if you do a 1 Hr manual driving lesson between 6pm and 7:30pm, you can choose for the trip to be counted as 3 hours of daytime driving or 1 hour of night driving.
